None at all. Our engineer handles every technical aspect of your session — from mic setup to camera angles to sound levels. All you need to bring is your content and your voice. We work with complete beginners who have never been in a studio before, through to experienced podcasters who want a professional upgrade. We'll walk you through everything at the start of your session.
Hidden Gem Studios comfortably seats up to 4 guests plus your engineer for a standard podcast session. This works well for solo hosts, one-to-one interviews, and panel-style discussions. If you have a larger group in mind, get in touch before booking and we'll see what we can arrange.
Yes — our three-camera 4K video setup is included in every session as standard, not an optional add-on. Your Canon R6 Mk II, Sony A7 III, and Lumix GH5 Mk II will be running simultaneously throughout your recording, giving you three angles for post-production. This is ideal for YouTube content, social media clips, brand videos, and broadcast-ready episodes.
Audio is delivered as high-quality WAV files. Video footage is delivered in 4K. If you need specific formats for your platform or editor (MP3, MP4, H.264, ProRes, etc.), just let your engineer know at the start of the session and we'll ensure delivery in your preferred format. Files are typically ready the same day or next day.
Yes — editing, mixing, mastering, and post-production are available as an add-on to any session. We can deliver a fully polished, broadcast-ready episode with intro, outro, music beds, and sound levelling. Pricing depends on session length and complexity — ask us for a quote when you book.
When you purchase the 10-Hour Pack, those hours are credited to your account and can be used across multiple sessions at any time — there is no expiry date. You'll receive priority booking access, meaning your preferred time slots are available before they open to single-session bookings. The pack saves you 10% (£72) compared to booking at the hourly rate.
The Studio Membership is a monthly retainer designed for creators who record consistently — typically one or more sessions per month. At £350/month you receive 6 hours of studio time, saving 27% versus the hourly rate, along with priority scheduling, member-only rates on additional hours, and access to the Hidden Gem Studios community. Get in touch to discuss whether membership is the right fit for you.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a partial fee to cover the booking slot. Full details are included in your booking confirmation email. If something unexpected comes up, please contact us as soon as possible and we'll always try to accommodate you.
We're located in SW9 — the heart of Brixton, South London. The studio is less than 10 minutes' walk from Brixton Underground station (Victoria Line) and approximately 15 minutes from Loughborough Junction (Thameslink overground).
